Taking steps forward 

Not two steps back 

But two steps forward 

Here I am entering adulthood 

But as I should 

Who knows what I could become? 

Walking the stage but I knew I could 

Making my parents happy. 

But as I should. 

Taking steps forward 

Growing into more 

4 more school years but on a college floor 

Signs coming at me I can't ignore 

Leaving a legacy from door to door 

Taking steps forward 

I want more and more 

Was just a lil kid 

Now I'm growing into something bigger than big 

I fear no doubt I admit 

Even if I do I cannot quit
