A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss

But maybe it gathers other things.

Perhaps a bit of dirt clings for the ride

And new bacteria find a home.


Maybe moss is left,

But a splash of water is right

There to clean the rock.


Cool and quenched

And ready to gather.


Petrified and born alive.
