A month ago, I was scrolling through reels mindlessly when a compilation of art pieces by Reuben Margolin stopped me in my tracks. Through a remarkable feat of engineering and strong mathematical reasoning, Margolin expresses organic, light, and hypnotic ways of movement using seemingly contrasting materials of tough timber, cogs, pulleys, and levers.
